What is “web development”?

Web development is a general term for any activity to create a web site that is dynamic and interactive. In other words, your project will include web development if you or your visitors can do things like:

• make changes to content by visiting the site;
• add comments to pages on the site;
• reference or update a database;
• subscribe to a newsletter; or,
• log in to the site to do things, or see select content;

We developed an in-house Content Management System (CMS) that meets the particular needs of our clients. Some customers use this CMS because it is easy to configure and to use across many web sites from small to enterprise. We developed tailored modules to meet particular needs.

We specialise in PHP, Zend Framework (1, 2 and 3), Laminas, Node and WordPress™. We develop relational databases in SQL, MySQL and MongoDB, and we are experimenting with graph databases.

We have a particular interest in data management. We carefully design the database structure to meet best practice design, enable future development, and comply with security and data management standards. With regular maintenance, you can continue to use our solutions for many years.

With some front-end design using HTML5, CSS3 and modern JavaScript (with a bit of Sass, and other stuff, thrown in when necessary), we deliver complete web applications.
